Homemade ice cream

Before you can top ice cream, you need to have ice cream! Store-bought will hit the spot any time, but you can create delicious, homemade ice cream with as few as three ingredients. You’ll need:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

To make ice cream:

  1. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Whisk together the condensed milk and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. This is when you can add any extra flavors to your ice cream.
  3. Gently fold the mix into the whipped cream.
  4. Add in any toppings your heart desires.
  5. Transfer the mix to a freezer-safe container lined with parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze it for at least 12 hours.
