Culver’s opening new restaurant locations across these 12 states


Wisconsin-based fast food chain Culver’s is expanding, with plans to open locations across 12 states, including Arizona, Illinois, and Tennessee.

Culver’s, which opened in 1984 and is based in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, is known for its frozen custard and ButterBurgers. The burgers are pressed, seared and served on buns that are lightly buttered. Also on the menu are frozen custards, chicken sandwiches and tenders, and seafood options like shrimp and cod.

Culver’s says it has over 1,000 restaurants located in 26 states. Most recently, the company has averaged opening 50 to 60 new restaurants per year, and the fast food chain plans to keep that up in 2025 and 2026.

Here’s where the fast food chain is opening next.

New locations already opened in 2025

According to a company spokesperson, new Culver’s restaurants have opened their doors in the following cities in 2025:

  • Florida: Avon Park and Ocala
  • Georgia: Warner Robins and Rockmart
  • Indiana: Portage and Bedford
  • Illinois: Mahomet
  • Michigan: Muskegon, Clawson, and Alma
  • North Carolina: Wendell
  • Ohio: Brunswick
  • South Carolina: Beaufort, Indian Land

Where will Culver’s open next?

The chain has broken ground at new locations in 12 states, according to a Culver’s spokesperson. Future locations are set for the following cities:

  • Arizona: Queen Creek
  • Arkansas: Harrison
  • Florida: Fort Meade, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Leesburg, and Ruskin
  • Georgia: Cartersville
  • Illinois: Bradley, Diamond, and Rantoul
  • Kansas: Derby
  • Michigan: Holland, White Lake, Woodhaven, and Southfield 
  • Ohio: Columbus and West Carrollton
  • South Carolina: Boiling Springs and Greenville
  • Tennessee: Hixson, Oak Ridge, and Sevierville
  • Texas: Katy
  • Wisconsin: Combined Locks, Eau Claire, and Evansville
