A runway at Boston’s Logan International Airport was closed Thursday afternoon, June 12, after a JetBlue plane rolled off the pavement and onto grass while landing.
In a comment to USA TODAY, JetBlue confirmed passengers “safely deplaned and were bussed to the terminal” after flight 312 from Chicago veered off the runway.
Massport, the authority that runs the airport, told USA TODAY the runway will continue to be closed Thursday afternoon as the aircraft is assessed. No injuries were reported.
“Safety is JetBlue’s top priority. We will conduct a full investigation of the incident and will work closely with the relevant authorities to understand the cause,” JetBlue said.
