The 2025 Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks kick off on Friday night, but before the pyrotechnics light up the New York City skyline, a star-studded lineup will take the stage on The Rooftop at Pier 17 in Lower Manhattan. Here’s how you can watch the event and who will be performing on Independence Day.

Who is performing at the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks?

The event, produced by Macy’s in partnership with NYC, will feature performances by the Jonas Brothers, Ava Max, Lenny Kravitz, Keke Palmer, Eric Church, and Trisha Yearwood. Also, Questlove and James Poyser will score most of the show.

Who is hosting the show?

Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose will host this year’s festivities and is also slated to perform during the telecast, which airs from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET and can be watched via NBC or streamed on Peacock. An encore presentation of the show will also air at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. Additionally, a Spanish-language simulcast will air on Telemundo at 9 p.m. ET.

Where can I watch the Macy’s fireworks in person?

If you’re visiting NYC for the festivities, the Macy’s Fireworks will be visible from any area with an unobstructed view of the sky above the Lower East River, with the show launched from the Brooklyn Bridge and four surrounding barges. 

Prime public viewing will be available along elevated portions of the FDR Drive with the following access points managed by the New York Police Department. Public viewing in Brooklyn Bridge Park and designated sections of Pier 16 & Pier 17 at The Seaport will be accessible via free tickets issued by the City of New York.

  • Montgomery Street at Madison Street
  • Robert F. Wagner Sr. Place and Brooklyn Bridge off/on ramps
  • Broad Street at Water Street
  • ADA viewing will be available at the Murry Bergtraum Softball Field, with access at Poke Slip and Cherry Street

All spectators should note that alcohol, backpacks, blankets, cigarettes, drones, duffle bags, e-cigarettes, large bags, large coolers, large packages, lawn chairs, motorized scooters, umbrellas and weapons are not permitted into the public viewing locations for security reasons.
