Beyoncé Knowles-Carter launched her “Cowboy Carter” tour for two nights in Houston, and her hometown made sure to welcome her with open arms — including an epic pre-concert party thrown by Marriott Bonvoy, the official hotel partner of the tour.
The Grammy-winning singer brought her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour to her hometown of Houston for two nights. Beyoncé took the stage at NRG Stadium for back-to-back shows on June 28 and June 29.
Each night before the H-town shows, Marriott Marquis Houston hosted a pre-concert experience in its Presidential Suit.
During the celebration, guests were greeted with an extensive curated menu featuring items such as creole crab roasted oysters, smoked salmon tartlets and more.
The experience was topped off with speciality SirDavis cocktails and a DJ that amped fans up before the show.
Faye Stuart and her friends were among those who attended the experience ahead of the concert.
“I’m from Liverpool in the United Kingdom, and we’ve come to Houston, Texas, to see Beyoncé because it’s a country album. There’s no better place to see her than Texas,” Stuart said. “This is from Houston, Texas, baby. It’s massive.”
And after the celebration, attendees were taken to the concert by a private bus.
Of course, the bash wasn’t the only “Cowboy Carter”-themed event in the city. The were a ton of events to celebrate the Texas-bred singer throughout the week. Even guests of the hotel who did not attend the pre-concert party were greeted with music in the lobby, a complimentary cocktail and “Cowboy Carter” signage.
One sign in the hotel read, “Welcome Beyoncé Cowboy Carter Tour.” Another said, “Welcome Beyhivers to the Cowboy Carter Tour.”
Similar events have taken place at Marriott Bonvoy hotels throughout the tour and are expected to continue as Beyoncé performs in more cities.
As fans know, Beyoncé first debuted her “Cowboy Carter” tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary.
The H-Town stop comes after Beyoncé wrapped the international leg of her tour — first with a six-night stint in London, followed by three dazzling nights in Paris. During her Paris shows, she shocked fans when she brought out Miley Cyus and husband Jay-Z for surprise performances on the first and last night.
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26.
