  • Celebrity chef Guy Fieri sold his Lake Worth Beach home for $7 million in January, almost double his purchase price but less than his initial asking price.
  • The buyers are Las Vegas restaurateurs Betty and Frank Bonanno.
  • Fieri still owns a $7.3 million property on Singer Island.

Celebrity chef Guy Fieri finally sold his waterfront Lake Worth Beach home this year after it had languished on the market in Palm Beach County, Florida since September 2023.

Fieri, host of Food Network’s popular “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and frequent man about town in Palm Beach County, bought the secluded 6,000-square-foot Bella Vista Avenue home for $3.9 million in March 2021.

He listed it for sale in 2023 for $8.75 million. That price was slashed several times before it sold in January for $7 million. While that’s nearly double what the spikey-haired chef paid for the home, it’s $1.75 million less than what he hoped to get for it.

About 28% of Palm Beach County single-family homes were forced to drop prices in January 2025, according to the online brokerage firm Redfin. That increased to 30% in April.

The buyers of the 24-year-old house are Las Vegas restauranteurs Frank Bonanno and his wife, Betty Pellegrino Bonanno, according to Palm Beach County official records. Frank Bonanno is president of Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group. His first forays into the culinary industry included the 1976 creation of the Famous Chocolate Chip Cookie Co., which eventually was sold to the Mrs. Fields cookie empire .

Fifth Avenue operates more than 40 restaurants in the Las Vegas area, according to its website.

Food Network star, Guy Fieri, still owns Singer Island property in Palm Beach County

Fieri still owns a property he purchased for $7.3 million on Singer Island in Riviera Beach in June 2023. The Mediterranean-style waterfront home is on a corner lot with 230 feet of water frontage along the Intracoastal Waterway and a canal.

The home is not homesteaded, a designation that limits property tax increases when the owner declares it as their primary residence.

Fieri celebrated his son Hunter Fieri’s graduation in May from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Hunter earned a master’s degree in business administration.

In April, Fieri fed Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office employees from his new East Coast Disaster Relief Trailer used to support hurricane victims.

In November, Fieri partnered with Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar in Boca Raton to raise money for hospitality workers who lost their jobs following hurricanes.

In February 2024, he stopped by Venezia Italian Pizza and Ristorante in North Palm Beach and did a short video with the restaurant’s Chef Albert. It was Fieri’s second trip to the much-loved restaurant.

Palm Beach County restaurants featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” include Rose’s Daughter, an Italian eatery in Delray Beach, Cholo Soy Cocina in West Palm Beach and the Coolinary & the Parched Pig in Palm Beach Gardens.

Fieri dropping from his original asking price on the Lake Worth Beach home is keeping with market trends, which have seen a slowdown in sales and price increases following the pandemic boom.

Jonathan Lickstein, president of the Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors group, acknowledged a “shift” in the market for existing single-family homes in Palm Beach County as median sale prices flattened to $645,000 in April. That’s about a 1% decrease from the same time in 2024.

“With inventory up nearly 30% and homes taking longer to move, buyers have more choices and negotiating power,” Lickstein said in a statement.

The median time for a home to get a sales contract in April was 41 days, which is 11% longer than the previous year.
