NFL divisional playoff picks straight up and against spread

For lovers of NFL football, the divisional round of the playoffs can often represent, arguably, the most exciting weekend on the calendar. A pair of doubleheaders features the eight remaining teams, including the return to action by both No. 1 seeds.

This year’s lineup includes a trio of regular-season rematches, including Saturday’s kickoff offering between the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs – K.C. won when they met last month at Arrowhead – as the reigning champs look to take the next step toward the first-ever Super Bowl threepeat. That night, the Detroit Lions, who hope to advance to the NFC title game for the second straight year (but just third time ever), will host rookie QB Jayden Daniels and the upstart Washington Commanders.

Sunday begins with the Los Angeles Rams visiting the Philadelphia Eagles two months after RB Saquon Barkley ran for 255 yards during a victorious effort in LA. But the main course will occur Sunday evening, when Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson and Buffalo Bills counterpart Josh Allen, the presumed finalists for the league’s MVP award this season, meet in frigid Western New York. The Ravens smoked the Bills in Week 4 but scored only three points in a frosty defeat four years ago in their only other playoff trip to Buffalo.
